Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) operates frequent buses to Batlagundu from Madurai (1.5 hours, rupees 60-80), Dindigul (45 minutes, rupees 40-50), and other nearby towns. The main bus terminal is in the town center. Private operators also run services, especially to Kodaikanal.
Batlagundu is on State Highway 36, which connects to National Highway 44 (NH44) near Dindigul. It is 60km from Madurai (1.5 hours drive) and 30km from Dindigul (45 minutes drive). Roads are generally in good condition. Expect minimal tolls on state highways, more on national highways (approx rupees 50-100 from Madurai).
