Malda Town Railway Station (MLDT) is the nearest major station, approx 40km. Frequent trains from Delhi (approx 24 hours, rupees 600-2000), Mumbai (approx 30 hours, rupees 800-2500), Bangalore (approx 36 hours, rupees 1000-3000). From Malda, take a local bus or auto-rickshaw.
West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) and private operators run buses from Kolkata (approx 8-9 hours, rupees 400-700) and other major towns. The main bus terminal is in Chapainawabganj town. Services are frequent but can be crowded.
Chapainawabganj is connected by NH12 (formerly NH34). It is 350km from Kolkata, a 7-8 hour drive. Road conditions are generally good but can be congested. Expect approx rupees 300-500 in tolls.
