ATMs are available in Medchal town centre. UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is widely accepted at shops and eateries. Currency exchange facilities are limited; better to exchange in Hyderabad. Tipping is not mandatory but appreciated for good service (rupees 20-50).
Drink only bottled water. Carry basic medications for common ailments. Vaccinations for Hepatitis A and Typhoid are recommended. For emergencies, local clinics are available, but major hospitals are in Hyderabad.
Local SIM cards (Airtel, Jio, Vodafone Idea) can be purchased with ID proof (passport/Aadhaar). Wi-Fi is available in some hotels. Useful apps include Google Maps for navigation and UPI apps for payments. Telugu is the local language, but Hindi and basic English are understood by many.
