Yerpedu Railway Station (YPD) is a small halt station with limited services. Tirupati Railway Station (TPTY) is a major junction, 25km from Yerpedu. Frequent trains connect Tirupati to Delhi (approx 30-36 hours, rupees 800-2500), Mumbai (approx 18-24 hours, rupees 600-2000), and Bangalore (approx 5-7 hours, rupees 200-800). From Tirupati, take a local bus or auto to Yerpedu.
APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) operates frequent buses to Yerpedu from Tirupati (rupees 30-50, 45 mins). Private operators also run services. From Chennai, direct buses to Tirupati are available (rupees 200-400, 3-4 hours), then transfer to a local bus for Yerpedu. The main bus terminal is in Yerpedu village centre.
Yerpedu is located near NH71 and NH16. It is 25km from Tirupati and 135km from Chennai. Drive time from Chennai is approximately 3 hours. Roads are generally in good condition. Expect tolls of rupees 150-250 on the Chennai-Tirupati route.
