Regular state-run (SBSTC) and private buses operate from Kolkata (Esplanade/Dharmatala) to Sabang. Journey time is 3.5-4.5 hours, fare rupees 150-250. Buses also connect Sabang to Midnapore (rupees 40-60, 1 hour) and Kharagpur (rupees 50-80, 1.5 hours).
Sabang is approximately 125km from Kolkata. Drive via NH16 (formerly NH6) towards Kharagpur, then take local roads. Drive time is 3-4 hours. Road conditions are generally good on highways, local roads can be variable. Approx tolls: rupees 100-200.
