Galsi Railway Station is on the Howrah-Bardhaman Chord line. Local trains from Howrah take 2-2.5 hours. Major trains stop at Bardhaman Junction (30km away). Fares from Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore are not direct to Galsi; reach Howrah/Bardhaman first.
West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) and private operators run buses from Kolkata (Esplanade) to Bardhaman/Durgapur. From Bardhaman, local buses or auto-rickshaws reach Galsi in 45-60 minutes, rupees 50-100. Direct buses to Galsi are less frequent.
Galsi is located near NH 19 (old NH 2). It is 125km from Kolkata, a 2.5-3 hour drive. Road conditions are generally good. Expect minimal tolls, approx rupees 100-200.
