Journey time from Howrah is 1-1.5 hours, fare rupees 15-30. No direct long-distance trains from Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore; reach Kolkata first.

State-run (CSTC/CTC) and private buses operate from Esplanade Bus Stand in Kolkata to Chinsurah. Journey time is 2-2.5 hours, fare rupees 50-100. Buses are frequent but can be crowded. Terminals are usually near the main market area in Chinsurah.
