From Bengaluru, direct trains are limited; consider trains to Tirupati or Katpadi and then local connection. From Tirupati, local trains take 1 hour, rupees 30-50.
APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) operates frequent buses to Pakala. Terminals are in Chittoor (30 km), Tirupati (60 km), and Bengaluru (180 km). Journey time from Chittoor is 1 hour (rupees 50-70), from Tirupati is 1.5 hours (rupees 80-120), from Bengaluru is 4-5 hours (rupees 250-400). Private operators are limited.
Pakala is well-connected by state highways. It is located on SH61. From Bengaluru, take NH75 and then SH61 (approx 180 km, 4 hours drive). From Tirupati, take NH71 (approx 60 km, 1.5 hours drive). Road conditions are generally good. Expect minimal tolls on state highways, but higher on national highways (approx rupees 100-200).
