Natore, a bustling district headquarters in North Central India, serves as a vital agricultural and commercial hub.
The best time to visit Natore is from October to February. The weather is pleasant and dry, ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
You can reach Natore by air via Gorakhpur Airport (GOP), by train to Natore Junction (NTR), or by bus from major cities like Lucknow and Gorakhpur.
Entry fees for government monuments range from rupees 20-50 for Indians and rupees 300-600 for foreigners. Temples are usually free.
Natore is generally safe, but solo female travelers should exercise caution, especially after dark. Avoid isolated areas and always use reputable transport options.
You must try Aloo Tikki Chaat, Puri Sabzi, Litti Chokha, Rabri, and fresh Ganne ka Ras (sugar cane juice) when in Natore.
Hindi is the primary language spoken. Bhojpuri is also common. English understanding is limited, mainly found in hotels and some tourist-facing businesses.
A low budget is around rupees 1500 per day, a mid-range budget is rupees 3000, and a high budget is rupees 6000 per day, excluding major shopping.
You can skip the Natore Fort if you expect a grand, fully preserved monument. It is mostly ruins and may not appeal to all visitors.
