You can reach Kurnool by train (Kurnool City KNL), bus (APSRTC), or road (NH44, NH40). The nearest major airport is Hyderabad (HYD), 210 km away.
Konda Reddy Fort and most temples are free. Belum Caves cost rupees 80 (Indians) and rupees 300 (foreigners). Oravakallu Rock Garden is rupees 20 (Indians) and rupees 100 (foreigners).
Kurnool is generally safe. Exercise caution in crowded areas and avoid isolated spots at night. Dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites.
You must try Gongura Pachadi, Pulusu, Ragi Sangati, and Uggani Bajji. These are staples of Rayalaseema cuisine.
Telugu is the primary language. Hindi and English are understood in tourist areas and by educated locals.
If time is short, you can skip the Konda Reddy Fort if you have seen grander forts elsewhere. Focus on the unique caves and temples instead.
