Fatehpur Sikri is a historical town in Uttar Pradesh, built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. It served as the capital of the Mughal Empire for only about 14 years before being abandoned due to water scarcity. Today, it stands as a well-preserved ghost city, showcasing stunning Mughal architecture.
Fatehpur Sikri offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the Mughal era. However, the relentless touts and hawkers can detract from the experience.
