Fares from Chennai to Kanchipuram are rupees 30-50, 1-1.5 hours.

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) operates frequent buses to Cheyyar. Direct buses from Chennai (Koyambedu CMBT), Kanchipuram, and Tiruvannamalai.
